Bourbon'd Figs

What it is:  Bourbon-soaked brown figs, accented by flavors of fresh ginger and vanilla.

Details:  Two 7.65-ounce jars, $18.

Who makes it:  Farmer's Daughter Brand, a one-woman operation making creative and crave-worthy pickles and preserves out of the North Carolina Piedmont.

Why I Love it: These Bourbon-infused brown turkey figs will change the way you think about preserves. Caramel-thick and devilishly decadent, they have a balanced boldness without being too sweet. April McGreger, the gal behind Farmer's Daughter, uses only pesticide-free brown turkey figs, sugar, organic lemons, fresh ginger, vanilla beans, and--of course--Kentucky Bourbon to make these gooey, melt-in-your-mouth-delicious morsels.

How I’ll use this in my kitchen:  These sweeties will be topping my morning bowl of Greek yogurt, drizzled over pork chops, and paired with American ham and hot homemade biscuits. They'd also be a match made in heaven with melty brie, buttermilk panna cotta, or a simple scoop of vanilla ice cream.
