Why I love it:  We're pretty confident this will be the best salted caramel sauce you've tried. For a sweet treat that's received its ample share of praise in recent years, Hot Cakes Confections' version is a definitive punctuation mark. Be it an exclamation point (because that's how I feel when I eat it) or a period (as in: best of class, case closed). This product makes me swoon. Produced entirely by hand, Autumn insists on making her saliferous sweet sauce the old-school way, by dry-burning (caramelizing) the sugar before adding the milk. And the milk? It comes from the only organic-certified dairy in WA state that goes from cows to bottling. The texture and consistency are exceptionally luxurious and the flavor, well: !!!!....

How I’ll use this in my kitchen:  When I'm not licking the spoon, I love to drizzle this over rich custards and puddings or atop fresh or grilled fruit. It's a glorious accompaniment to sweet corn ice cream or homemade apple pie. I love adding a little spoonful to my morning coffee or tossing it onto warm popcorn at night.
